How hiring a hair and makeup artist to accompany you on your adventure elopement can add to your experience.
One of the most moving things to experience is committing yourself to your person in the sometimes deafening silence of the wilderness, just the two of you. The perfect way to connect to each other, and the wild world around you. Primal and powerful. Your circle on that day is exceptionally and beautifully small. I am honored to be counted among the few for such an intimate time.
A bit about me, I’ve been a bridal hair and makeup artist for over 13 years, and since relocating to the pacific northwest form the Washington DC area, I’ve been blessed with the opportunity to serve eloping couples along their adventures together. I’m a little glam and a little granola, and I offer roaming concierge coverage-yes, I accompany my couples on their adventure and I have serious summit fever. Adventure Elopements are as unique as the folks having them, and that’s the beauty of it!
LOGISTICAL BENEFITS FOR ELOPEMENT DAY
“Here, put that in my backpack” is my number one phrase while on trail with couples. Extra water, a change of clothes, snacks and other accessories are great to have, and then hand off. Having your own “personal pack person” is obviously convenient, but the real benefit is being able to maintain your intentional presence with your partner and not worry about those details. I take great care to plan your looks, provide guidance and connect with you all along the way, so I’m able to execute exactly what you envision, and so I’m not just a stranger along for the ride.
Real first looks are possible. Whether I zip you in your dress at the top, or we plan to get you ready at your lodgings and first look beyond the trailhead, I’m happy to let you hitch with me for the ultimate surprise.
Extra perks include:
- I make a great witness, and I’m ordained, too-just in case.
- I’ve been known to airdrop my couples BTS right from my camera roll to share with friends and family later.
- I’ve always got double sided tape and a “bridesmaid’ bag full of essentials.

BEYOND HELPING HANDS ON ELOPEMENT DAY
Extending your elopement day coverage to include me coming on trail with you also allow for more creative freedom and a wider range of options for your hair and makeup looks. Having me with you allows me to create looks that I would otherwise rule out because of the conditions. I can expand my work beyond its durability and offer you more choice because I’m there to fix and adjust them and offer multiple options along the way, and inline with any activities.
As a published artist, one thing I do a lot on any job or location is constantly scanning for detail and anything that can be improved, and smoothing the edges where I can with comfort and flattery in mind. While we are there to experience and capture your wild love story, and grab the moments just as they are, sometimes it’s nice to have someone step in (for a brief second, and when the moment is right) to make a minor adjustment to portraits.
Lastly, and probably the most important and special to me, is the connection with my clients. Folks choose to elope alone, just them, in the wilderness for a variety of reasons. Many are touching, some are tearful, but whatever the reason, feelings of support are always on the ‘day of plan’.
I’m not just holding your stuff, I’m holding space for you, too:)
