Happy Belated Mothers Day y’all!

Mothers’ Day was this past Sunday and we are all in our feelings with nostalgia as we look back over the Bride & MOB photos from years past!  Often, Mom skips the makeup process for your big day for a few reasons.  (We hear them all the time).  She says she’s too busy that day.  Nothing can be done to make her feel beautiful because she’s of a certain age. She doesn’t want to take time and attention away from you.  We wanted to celebrate all the Mothers of the Brides that we have met over the years and share some insight on why she should get her makeup done on such a big day.  Also, enjoy these little gems from the Fleurt portfolio archives.

1. Because she’s worth it.

Sorry, Loreal.  We just snagged your tag line.  Its true!  Your Mama has likely been painstakingly overseeing every aspect of this beautiful day right along side you.  She deserves the same pampering, relaxing experience that you do.  Pop a bottle and get pampered together!  It will also give you some time together, in the moment.  If she’s having her makeup done, she’s forced to sit, be present, and enjoy herself!  Paying for her makeup services is also a fantastic way to say “thank you” to her for all of her help.

2. Photos to last a lifetime

Some of our favorite photos are of Mom and the bride/groom.  Some of the most amazing makeup transformation are on Mom, not the bride (gasp, we know.  Its true though, boo).  As we get older, we have precious few professionally photographed images with our Mom.  This is one of those chances!  The day is perfect and most things are professionally done; your photos, hair, planning, and your makeup should be no exception.

3. Spend a little time with the experts

We are so sad to hear things like, “there isn’t much that will help with…”  First of all mama, you are in great and caring hands.  One of the unique experiences about working with us is our expertise and great care we take with every single client in the chair, especially Mom.  Take the time to relax and luxuriate knowing that your makeup will be flawless.  Or chat to us about your concerns regarding skin care and makeup.  We will share all of our knowledge with you!

One of the biggest game changers for mature makeup is false eyelashes.  We choose the most natural and flattering individual lashes that give mature eyes a natural looking and flattering “lift.”  This is obviously best left to the pros and we would love to show Mom how amazing and transforming it can be!
