Now that’s out of the way.  Anyway, this week will be brief.  We love LaRoche-Posay.  Always have.  They are a no frills brand with clean (for the most part) ingredient lists.  This product is no different.

Labeled for use on the face and body *gasp*, this moisturizer was developed with the skins’ microbiome in mind.  Its packed with prebiotics to “feed” the skin’s natural micro-organisms.  It has been discovered the microbiome in dry skin conditions can become unbalanced & prebiotics can have a rebalancing effect.

There is lots to love about this one.  Even for use on the face, its quite nice if used sparingly.  If you have issued with shea butter on the face, we would avoid its use there.   It will be a staple in winter months and would be a nice choice for eczema sufferers.  (Though there is no colloidal oatmeal in this formula, so it will relive the dryness, just not the itchiness.)  It is ideal for the whole family as it is for sensitive skins and fragrance free.  Lovely texture, and does last for at more than a day after showering/face-washing. 48 hours of moisture? Maybe.  Skin on face and body does feel more “naturally” moisturized. Not like when using coco butter, coconut oil, or a greasy body/face lotion.  Great feel and there is no residual “slickness.”  We have NOT TESTED this on the face, under makeup.  If you’d like us to, we shall.  Just ask!

It sounds very much like this will be a long term product to see real, clinical improvement.      Worth a try!
