Bridesmaid Guide: Makeup

fluent beauty company

Okay, babes.  We know, you are the focus your wedding.  We would not have it any other way.  You are the star of the show.  But your support squad deserves all the love and attention we can offer, too.  Your bridesmaids and attendants can expect the very best from us!

So, we’ve compiled a fun little guide for your #bridesquad so they know what to expect when working with us on your wedding day.  This handy little article will also (hopefully) keep you from fielding questions from them.  One less thing for your to worry about.

So, here’s the handy-dandy Bridesmaid Guide for Makeup Services…

Don’t worry about going first for makeup!

We will stay on location for touch ups and adjustments after your dressing time.  We will ensure you will look just as flawless as you did earlier in the day and absolutely build your makeup to last long into the night.  So when we arrive, set up and we cheerfully ask “who’s ready for makeup!?” don’t freak.  You’ll be just fine.

Lip Looks…

Our makeup is built to last, and the only thing that will need adjustment into the evening would be your lip product.  It’s a good idea to bring along one of your favorite lippies for touch ups later in the evening.  Glosses, lipsticks, and stains are all great choices!  Don’t forget to pack those eco-friendly straws to keep your lips on lock long after the pictures are taken.

Foundation: Airbrush or Traditional?

Airbrush foundation gives you a featherweight, flawless, skin-like finish that lasts without adjustment for up to 18 hours!  Traditional foundation is equally as gorgeous and like airbrush makeup its never heavy or cakey.  Some touch ups may be needed with traditional makeup after 8 hours.  Some skin types are better suited for airbrush than others.  We will consult with each of you to help you select the best and most flattering option for you.

Your Best Skin…

If you’ve been a reader for a while, you saw this coming right?  Makeup always looks best on skin that has been well loved.  Exfoliation, either physical or chemical, can provide you with a smooth surface for makeup application. Adding a hydrating serum with hyaluronic acid can also help to plump up fine lines around your face. Apply it daily before your makeup for softer and smoother skin.  We will have all the skincare you need for makeup prep, but its always best to establish a good, regular routine before any special event.

Makeup Junkies…

If there is a makeup product that you absolutely cannot live without, you are welcome to bring it for your makeup service.  We will assess whether it is suitable for photography and incorporate it into your look!  Not all makeup products are long wearing or suitable for photography.  We’ve been around the block once or twice, and know which products will work and will not.
